Sales Director

As a Sale Director at Mellie, you will work to grow Mellie’s business by closing business with larger employers and health plans. You will report to the CRO/Co-Founder and work closely with all members of the Mellie team.

We are looking for a seasoned salesperson that has 7+ years of experience selling into the Employer / HR space. She/he should understand the dynamics of the employers and brokers and bring a strong network with them.


This position can be located anywhere in the US and will require travel from time to time to visit prospects, customers and events.


The Sales Director position is one of the foundational sales roles within the company and will start as an individual contributor with plenty of upward career movement possible with demonstrated success.


  • Understand Mellie’s solution and value proposition.

  • Develop Target Accounts

  • Prospect employers and brokers (or other partners) and insurance companies to drive business

  • Consultatively sell to target accounts

  • Represent Mellie in the marketplace with top quality

  • Meet and/or exceed sales targets


  • Passion and hustle

  • Demonstrated ability to close business.

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of solution landscape

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner while coordinating with team members.

  • Strong sense of empathy, compassion, and professionalism, as well as customer service.

  • Computer literate and comfortable learning and using new technology.


Role Requirements

  • 25% - 50% travel

  • Professional home office / working environment
